SARAJEVO: A seminar on Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)-China relations was held in the Sarajevo, the capital city of BiH. The seminar was organized by the Bosnia-China Friendship Association and the BiH Belt and Road Construction and Promotion Centre. It was attended by 20 dignitaries from the political, academic, business and media sectors of BiH who exchanged their view on current and future prospects of Bih-China relations.
Mladen Ivanic, former member of BiH’s presidency said that his country and the Balkan region had benefitted from the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) without contributing yet. He also said that BiH will seizet the development opportunities presented to them by the BRI and actively carry out pragmatic cooperation with China.
Amel Kovacevic, Finance minister of Sarajevo canton, said the Belt and Road Initiative and China-CEEC (Central and Eastern European Countries) cooperation have benefited the world, and BiH cannot miss this opportunity. The participants also look forward to deepening bilateral exchanges in academic, cultural and other fields.
Ji Ping, Chinese Ambassador to BiH also attended the seminar and gave answers on BiH-China ties and Chinese political and economic topics.
